The Shnitzel Waffle Benechick

This was pretty good. The schnitzel has nice breading and the sunny side up egg is AMAZING. However taken together I think thought needs to be put into adding more flavor to the meal.

This is one of my absolute favourite vegan dishes, ever. It is sweet yet savoury and delicious. I live in Victoria but make a point to visit Chickpea every time I’m visiting!

Chickpea is one of my favourite restaurants, always good food as drinks, and all vegan!

This dish was super tasty and creative. The tofu shnitzel is served on top of a waffle with tofu ricotta, vegan hollandaise, and maple syrup. The side salad has a nice vinaigrette. The waffle was a bit burnt on the edges. The dish was great but there wasn’t enough staff working so we waited ages to get a menu, ages to order, and then ages to get a box and the bill. We felt a bit awkward and uncomfortable since we weren’t sure whether to seat ourselves or not (someone was standing in front of the sign) so staff seemed annoyed with us and reluctant to pay attention to us. It’s a shame because the food was good!
