Glad to see the leaf of our potatoes aren’t going to waste in Kuching. I’m

not sure how or where it grows but I know I don’t see this #greenbeauty around just anywhere. I’ve always thought of this #vegetable as the superior spinach. Simply because they’re both fibrous greens that are prepared the same way. By the way, all the vegetable dishes at this restaurant are offered 3 sauce options: garlic, belacan and vegetarian oyster sauce (which I opted for this round)

Imagine eating a spinach that has less of the tough fibres but holds more water. I, personally, theorize that the turgid nature of it allows it to absorb more flavours as well. It’s undeniable that the restaurant cooked it to perfection this time 👌 The oyster sauce and whatever seasonings they used were sublimely strong… 🤤 but also not too strong. Really just on the limit 🧮 not to mention, they gave a good amount of liquid proportionate to the vegetable itself.

It came out at a pretty average price of RM 11. It sounded cheap at first but seeing the portion sealed it’s value at just okay.

Most definitely recommended 👍 especially to those who have never tried it! #eatyourveggies

RM11 for #sweetpotatoleaves in #belacan. Gotta broaden my perspective ; where I come from, belachan

= sambal or at the very least, a part of seasoning equation in nyonya cuisine.

This is clearly, plain, diluted, vegetarianly it and takes some getting used to. #greens were vibrant lovely though
