Decent option if you like #salad; with the generous amount of leaves there's a decent

base to work from, then the #tempeh and roasted #oystermushroom gives it some substance. The #crispy #chickpeas and the #peanuts really break the palatal monotony, while the #sambal dressing gives it that necessary bit of #spicy 😋🔥

I think this ought to be a favourite for most people, except for types like me who deem such things #toohealthy 😛

Fried to a perfect crisp, nothing not to love here 🧡

This is a trying portion of #tempeh for a #tempehlover’s meal 🤦‍♀️ As is my

paid-for photo editing app that keeps crashing every time I try to save my edits to this photo. If we have not already established this, in the new year we should make it a goal to lock engineers up in a dungeon until they can produce shit that works. Unfortunately the thought of doing so might excite some of us 💆‍♀️ This #satay of tempeh, 2 skewers exactly, with the same amount of amore in an arranged marriage was one of the more disappointing #salad dishes I had here. It’s really just the naming though that’s unfortunate cause it’s actually quite amazing. The base consists of every dude-bro’s hero of a vegetable, rocket 🚀, and a generous helping of pea sprouts topped with #roasted oyster mushrooms, sweetened and #crispy chickpeas, a handful of #peanuts all tossed together with a zesty lemongrass dressing and a helping of #sambal. Had they executed this just right, it could’ve been a formidable main but as is nothing more than a sob salad. Luckily it cost us no more than RM22. It’s something you’d have when you’re feeling skinny girl summer of 2003 date night vibes but for 3 hungry vegans that had not had a mineral or vitamin in a weeklong tour of Malaysia’s inspirationally heart-clotting cuisine, we expected so much more of this salad. By Hungry Tapir’s impossible caliber, this was at most a three star affair 💫

This “bowl” felt a lot more like a salad, and let me tell you, there’s

a difference. Very heavy on the lettuce and raw veg, would have maybe liked a grain in here. I loved the mushrooms and the roasted chickpeas, and while the #tempeh is always appreciated, it would have been cool if they spiced it #satay style before hand. The dressing was light and zesty, but there wasn’t enough of it. And the “sambal” didn’t really taste like #sambal to me, it was super sweet. While I enjoyed this dish overall, I think it could be improved upon.
