The Vegan Burrito is part of Serrano Salsa's newish vegan menu. It comes with tasty
rice and beans (no lard or animal substances) and your choice of vegan chorizo, seitan, tofu or jackfruit carnitas. At $14.99 it is pricey but is quite large and filling.
Make sure not to confuse this with the Veggie Lover's Burrito, which is filled with lettuce, pico de gallo, vegan cheese, sour cream and guacamole and costs an extra $3.99 for vegan protein. This happened to me so I ended paying more than planned! Both options are tasty, though.
The space is small and is mainly set up for takeout but there is a cool sidewalk dining area in good weather. The staff will gladly accept your reusable containers so don't forget to bring them. Otherwise, they only provide disposables for both dine-in/takeout, and destroying the planet isn't kind to our animal friends.
