So happy to finally try a vegan version of this Malaysian dish! You can order

a small bowl (this option) or a larger plate. The tempeh was crispy and the cucumbers helped to balance out the spice.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE this version of nasi lemak, it’s better than any other I’ve

had, and all omnis I’ve brought here agree! On weekends you can get the nasi lemak with a mushroom rendang, DO NOT MISS THIS!


Unfortunately I was running out of nasi lemak so they replaced mine with brown rice.

Yum! Definitely not your average nasi lemak. This was a special dish of the day

where they add mushroom rendang to their regular nasi lemak. Loved everything on the plate - the coconut rice, sambal, fried tempeh, peanuts, fried ‘anchovies’ made from mushrooms, mushroom rendang, cucumber slices and long beans. Would come back for this again.


I had refused to try this for the longest time because "how can a Latam

fusion place ever get nasi lemak just right?" Boy was I wrong. The rice was flavourful and authentic, a delicate blend of santan and spice. Also really liked the tempeh and sambal. If I were to have one complaint it would be that a certain something was missing, which is usually afforded by the copious amounts I add of kacang goreng. But all in all, fabulous.
