Plant-based Bechamel Croquettes with House-made Apple Sauce

Yay! We now have not one but two fantastic vegan #Japanese places in this postal code ☺️ And I think these guys will provide worthy competition for Towzen (who are absolutely amazing at what they do!) These guys have been open for only a month and are already pulling in crazy crowds 💪 From what I could overhear a lot of the diners aren't even remotely plant-based people 😃 Their stuff is excellent (and so is their staff 😂), and the best of the lot was, I thought, this #starter 🙂 Not your average #croquettes, these went for a mild but creamy take on #bechamel with an exquisite #applesauce that somehow balanced salty and sour 😋 Honourable mention to the side salad, all 4 leaves of which were bathed in this glorious balsamic something 😅 #sweetdreamsaremadeofgrease, so if I try not to repeat places within the same quarter, then wake me up when September ends 🙂
