Plain Hopper

this hopper was delicious . . . kind of like a bowl-shaped #dosa. it came with three #chutneys (sambol), which were delicious. i mixed them all together and ate it with the dahl (separate review). i saw the c-word on the menu and the server said she would make sure there was no cilantro on anything. apparently they have nine locations: https://www.thecoconut-tree.com/restaurant-bars/ everything was delicious and reasonably priced. i was full, which doesn't happen often. there were a lot of #tapas style dishes on the menu. it was hard to choose. First tine for me to east sri lankan food. #veganisnotscary #vegandining and look at the menu! the vegan version costs less!!! no mark-up for omitting the most expensive ingredients! 🎉

A great side dish 🥥 it’s a coconut milk pancake served with two types of sambol and a Sri Lankan salsa. So good rolled up with all the good flavours inside and then dipped in the sauces of the other dishes. Not tried it before and I loved the texture 😃 #vegansrilanka #srilankan #coconut #coconutlover
