Our second #gourmet #pizza was a celebration of #porcini #mushrooms and #cabbage. On top of the perfectly cooked chewy and crispy crust was a base of creamed #chickpeas, on top of which were cubed porcini mushrooms in a savory mushroom cream sauce. Then on alternating pieces there was cabbage sauteed in #tumeric to provide an additional crunch, and wonderful Sicilian olives sprinkled about. Then it was drizzled in a #whitebean and #tumeric sauce to broaden the flavor profile. In the middle were #endive leaves with a mound of sauteéd cabbage on top. Chef Manuel's pizzas are the most creative I have ever tasted!
We called a day in advance to make a reservation and request vegan dishes - Chef Manuel was excited to have us and said he would make dishes based on what was available at the markets. So delicious, savory and unique!!
