Penang Assam Laksa

This was really delicious if you’re into the sourish #laksa type. Sourish tangy tasty with a slight spiciness and a lovely mix of all the flavours. I added chilli padi for more kick of course. They served it with the white laksa noodles, it has #pineapple #mintleaf #tofu #mockfish Definitely something i’ll have again when im working in the area

Rice noodles, fried tofu, beancurd 'fish', and shredded cucumber in spicy, sweet, and sour broth. I've eaten the real deal in Penang; this was sufficiently tangy and appetising, but would have been more realistic if the 'fish' was cut into smaller pieces like the mackerel flakes!
