This onigiri is stuffed with ume (pickled plum). I have had onigiri only one other
time before my trip to Okome House. It was the ume onigiri from Kyatchi in South Minneapolis. I wasn't the biggest fan, but probably because it was offered as a dessert since they didn't have any vegan desserts. I enjoyed this time onigiri from Okome much more. I was able to appreciate the tartness from the vinegar. It's not a flavor I would typically go for, but I enjoyed trying it.
