Giving this a super 5 star rating! The udon is slurp worthy in a rich

savoury broth. The strong aroma and taste comes from the sacha soup made with spinach, tomatoes white button mushrooms, portobello mushrooms and mushroom stalks. The rispy ikan bilis (anchovies) made from mushroom stalks, complements the heart bite of the lion's mane mushroom and soft Japanese udon. Perfect combination! Simply heavenly! Must order again!

According to Wikipedia shacha is a Chinese condiment made from soybean oil, garlic, shallots, chilli,

fish and shrimp. This was some serious broth, so full of flavour and such a great variety of ingredients: lion’s mane mushroom, tomatoes, spinach, button mushrooms, portobello mushrooms and mushroom stalks which tasted very interesting, sorta like fried onion. I requested for chilli powder but the broth isn’t spicy at all

This is definitely one of my favourite dishes at nomVnom! Super flavourful (although it can

be less salty) and served with udon, expect a generous amount of chewy lion's mane mushroom pieces. #nomvnom #cherishfootprints

First time trying nomvnom's udon so I went for their best seller which is the

Sacha Lion Mane's Mushroom Udon. I did not know what to expect as this is my first time trying Sacha sauce! As a big fan of savory food, I liked this bowl of Udon very much as it is chock-full of umami. From their website, it seems that the soup is made of the Sacha sauce and some alternative mince. They were also pretty generous with their mushrooms and lion mane (though I would have like more 😁) and other veggies too! Comparing with their burgers, this would be a better value for buck as it is definitely more filling with the same price. However, I would still go for their burgers as I personally prefer breads compared to noodles but it will be good for someone who wants a more substantial meal 👍

I would like to start by saying that it should be a crime to serve

Asian food without condiments like vinegar green chilli/chilli padi/etc 😔 They did have chilli flakes but it didn’t do the trick for me. This dish has potential to be good but was really lacking some spice and acidity. The was also a tad bit too salty and oily for my liking and left me feeling very thirsty after the meal. The udon noodles were actually really nice and the mushrooms were pretty nice too. Overall this could be a really good dish if it were less salty, less oily and the flavours were adjusted a little. I wouldn’t really recommend it as is. #veganisnotscary

$10.90! I think the tai seng branch is cheaper. anyway wOah I’ve never had shacha

anything before and I love it?? the soup was so nourishing and warm in this cold weather and it was super umami mmmMM. its really unlike any soup I’ve had tbh. but found it a little too oily for my liking!! the udon was also a little overcooked and my bf was saying how it wasn’t springy enough. the lion’s mane mushroom inside was so nice hehe my bf’s first time and was impressed!!! nicely cooked so very tender and chicken like. also quite generous with the toppings!!! but still found it a little too pricey #veganuary

Their udon portion is quite big and filling. The soup was super flavorful. I’m not

a big fan of udon but I would say it’s pretty good. #veganisnotscary

I've given max stars for this. It has two of my favourite mushrooms, lions mane

and portobello, both of which were chewy and juicy with the soup. The soup was chock full of flavour and was so good I couldn't help drinking it all up to the last drop. The greens and tomatoes gave the savory dish a good balance and the udon was soft and springy. This just became my favourite dish in Nomvnom.
