#minorityowned Believe it or not, I have never tried this dish anywhere. So I decided

to give it a go today. I must say, that I really enjoyed it. So happy that I didn’t go to my usual Saturday joint.
The different textures and flavours of the various vegetables and tofu made it thoroughly satisfying. Had to have some sliced bird’s eye chilli with this, which had my nose running! 🤣 will definitely be back!

I am never disappointed by thunder tea. Fresh and balanced, this one was no exception!

The only thing I didn’t really like was the soup... it was creamy and not very tasty, I prefer it more herby.
Price is a bit expensive compared to other places, 11 sgd for this dish if I remember correctly.

I found the thunder tea to be less tea-ish for my liking but my mom

liked it. The paste had some coarse bits and would’ve preferred more tofu instead of the rather dry and tough to chew unagi/ikan bilis-like ingredient.

thunder tea rice is something i love, i try to order it whenever i see

it on the menu— and i liked this! as you can see they’re real generous with the various sides that come with this dish which is real nice. i loved the tofu negg and the cai poh (preserved radish)! pity the soup is a lil too diluted for my liking though.

First time trying the food at New Green Pasture Cafe. The thunder tea rice is

fairly hearty with a slightly sweeter profile than I’m used to. Service is warm. The food prices here are a little higher than the other stalls but with an exciting variety. I’ll be back to try the other dishes.

I hadn’t ordered this dish before because lots of places have it. Sometimes it’s the

only veg dish in a hawker centre.
