Mulligatawny Soup

Really enjoyed the other dishes at this restaurant but this tasted more like sambar (south Indian dish not to be confused with southeast Asian sambal) as opposed to rasam of which mulligatawny soup is the imperialised/colonial bastardisation. I suppose this would taste novel and awesome to someone who's unfamiliar with south Indian cuisine. (Also as a south Indian first gen-er, I wouldn't have ordered this if my father didn't eagerly suggest it "just to see how they make it!")

This soup leans towards British Indian cuisine, though it’s pretty much a creamy curry broth?? At least it’s spicy 😊 $15 down the drain tho. I ended up ordering some rice to soak up the “zhap”

This soup doesn't fill like soup. Instead think it's like a curry sauce to your rice. So wouldn't reccomend to order if you have too little diners to share or thinking that this is a real bowl of soup. Its a little way too thick n for a soup 😂 but does taste alright if not consume in large quantity.
