McMenamins Bean & Seed Gyro consists of two vegan patties, hummus, tahini sauce, cucumber, red
onion, lettuce, and tomato in a Greek-style pita. I think the patties are Lightlife brand since McMenamins also offer a veggie burger that is listed as Lightlife brand. This entree comes with your choice of side, which is either fries, tots, salad or soup- I opted for cajun tots (which is a 50cent upgrade from regular tots). This pita was actually better than I expected; very fresh tasting. I still think McMenamins could try a little harder when it comes to being more vegan-friendly. For instance, when upgrading to cajun tots, they always give you ranch on the side, but sadly they do not have vegan ranch. It’s little things like this that can make a big difference for vegans…I will of course be giving them a poke.
