This is my all time favourite at Marche. Our family LOVES Marche Rosti!
Soft on the
inside and charred on the outside. The charred underside helps to hold the Rosti of shedded potatoes together. Very well balanced in taste.
When you observed closely, there are two shades of yellow in the Rosti. I guessed they use two different types of potatoes 🥔 – the white potato and the darker yellow one normally used in Asia ABC soup.
I just marvelled at this delicious dish of a simple ingredients- potatoes 🥔. Potato cooked to perfection!
5 points to note:
(1) Rosti comes with sour cream which is not vegan. We left instructions to omit it. We simply replaced it with our own Vegan Mayo in my fridge.
(2) Fried food always tastes good as usual, hence, this Rosti left pretty much oil on the plate. It really depends on how you view this- not-so-healthy or simply yummy 😋
(3) Serving size of the Rosti is perfect- not to much that put me off, and just nice enough to leave a satisfying contented smile on my face that I want to go back for more the next time.
This is my opinion again. My elder daughter said, “ Is that all for dinner?” 🤣 🤣🤣
Hubby, a doting daddy as ever, ordered more food for his darlings and himself – a second dinner. It looks like all, except me, were still hungry!
(4) Prices at Marche is not your usual cheap-cheap type. My hubby ordered it from Grabfood platform at $10.17 per serving, delivery fees is not included. A family of four with delivery fees easily costs about S$50.
(5) You can see the condensation on the plastic cover, and it would have resulted in a softer Rosti when it arrived at our house. It was still warm when arrived. I attempted to warm up two over the stove. I managed to transfer one from pan to plate successfully. Unfortunately, for the next one, I messed it up. What an adventure! For the next two, I left them untouched since they were still warm.
So… here is my verdict:
I really LOVE ❤️ this Rosti and Marche has perfected it brilliantly!
