Latke (Potato Cake) Duo

Crunchy potato cakes one with vegan cream cheese and smoked carrot ‘salmon’ and one with sautéed spinach and creamy mushrooms. The creamiest mushrooms I have tasted. Every component of this dish was delicious and flavourful. Filling and reasonably priced. Only marked down for nutrition because the latkes are deep fried. #latke

This was bursting with flavour - the smokiness of the carrot 'salmon', nuttiness of the cream 'cheese'. The textures ranged pleasantly from chewy to smooth

In all honesty I wouldn’t rush to buy this again. The taste isn’t horrific, but it just didn’t do it for me. There wasn’t enough of the white sauce, the mushrooms weren’t amazing and it lacked flavor. While it tasted too healthy for me, it also seemed very oily, which is a bit contradictory. I will say the portion size was very big (but I guess is it really value for money if you didn’t enjoy it) the potato jol at the bottom really lacked flavor, but it was a “pretty” looking dish and the carrots I enjoyed and cream sauce was nice.

Two very cute potato latkes ~ one with vegan cream cheese and smoked carrot lox and the other with sautéed spinach and creamy pulled oyster mushrooms 🍄😋 this dish looked lovely and was super tasty but I thought they could have been more generous with the vegan cream cheese - it was very thinly spread 🥲😂

This meal was really delicious - my first time eating carrot lox and it won’t be the last! The potato latke were also very crispy, so good! Great value for money too.
