‘Cured king oyster mushrooms, Szechuan chilli salt, tofu kewpie mayo + herb salad’
This was a bit disappointing. There was a tiny amount of ‘calamari’ for the price, and it didn’t resemble calamari in looks, texture, nor taste at all. The batter on the outside wasn’t crispy so the mushrooms were kind of limp, but they were tasty in their own right nonetheless. The Kewpie mayo was very thick and rich. My friend who doesn’t like mushrooms liked this, so that’s saying something at least! The ‘herb salad’ was not on the side but mixed through the mushrooms, and it’s just coriander, sliced spring onions, and sliced chilli. Overall, not the best value for money. Get the buffalo cauliflower instead I say.
