Grey - salted bean. Purple - yam. Red - sweet mung bean. Their angkukuehs r rly generously filled and not overly oily or sweet, very pleasant dessert!
Adding some #colour into my life through #Kueh. I met some unconventional flavours of the beloved ang ku kueh - salted bean and yam today! The salted bean has a dash of savoury flavours while the yam is basically orh nee in a package. #angkukueh #heritagefood #sgfood #sgfoodie
Love their AKK 😍 it’s such a labour-intensive process and their fillings are always stuffed to the brim 😋 peanut and salted bean are both delish
Adding a fistfull of colours to #stayhome life with theses good ol' ang ku kuehs. Each colour represents a filling from the traditional mung bean and peanuts to coconut and corn. I love popping them into my mouth especially when they are served warm from the steamer! #kueh #angkukueh #sgfood #sgfoodie #heritagefood #localfood #sweets #snacks #confection #tradition
My favourite go-to snack (even when it's near dinner time)! 😋 Bought the peanut, sweet and salted (the lonely one among reds) yellow bean flavours. The skin is so soft and chewy with delicious smooth or crunchy (peanut) fillings. This is from the Toa Payoh branch. BYO using my collapsible container. The banana leaf separators will be composted. 🍃🍂
