I made this latte vegan by subbing the milk with oatmilk and leaving out the whipped cream. This flavor of latte and cold foam is a perfect combination and added to one of my top favorites. I sipped on the latte before stirring in the cold foam, and it was already good. Just the perfect amount of sweetness with a very noticeable gingerbread taste. But then once I stirred in the foam, which is made with soy and oatmilk, it made it even more smooth and creamy with an added taste of vanilla. I’ve been adding cold foams to my hot peppermint mochas lately, but after having trying a variety of cold foams at Starbucks, I’m finding it to be a better experience with iced lattes. It holds up nicely, and it’s like having 2 drinks in 1. You try the latte itself first, and when you’re ready for a 2nd drink, stir it, and get a new profile and taste. It’s such a nice treat while I’m #onthego and to lighten the mood while driving in heavy traffic. I have a rollercoaster relationship with Starbucks. I first loved Starbucks decades ago when I wasn’t vegan, mainly for their frappes. Then when going vegan, I was very disappointed, even with their plant-based milk offerings. I took a little hiatus, but then started going again for their generous reward program, still unpleased with just about everything And then my interest in reward points dwindled, but their generous offerings kept me going back, like 1/2 off days, or $3 specials, where I could enjoy a couple of my faves, or continue trying something new (and still usually disappointed). And now the new CEO stripped away the generous offerings, but introducing all these fabulous tasting new plant based drinks and combinations and no surcharge for subbing with plant milk, I’m back to loving Starbucks for the main reason it should be….great tasting coffee. And being able to order on the app is such a unique and better experience, being able to customize without confusing the barista and beat the line by ordering ahead. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ #starbucks #gingerbread #latte #vanilla #coldfoam #ditchdairy
