I’m declaring this as my new favorite Starbucks coffee! I usually only go to Starbucks when they send me a really good deal, which is often enough to accumulate enough reward points to redeem. I had a lot that was about to expire on Oct 1. I already knew what wanted… this ceramic mug with an artsy print of a cat. Someone in my cat rescue group on Facebook posted about it, but it was mainly found in the main U.S. It was only found in a couple of stores in Hawaii, and they both ran out with no plans on restocking. It was such a treasure hunt to have finally found this one left at another location on Sep 30, the day before my points were to expire, that I couldn’t wait to use it while I was out and about yesterday, even with no special deals.
I stayed away from the holiday drinks, even the ones that are made with oatmilk, because a primary ingredient includes honey. So I got on my app and customized my Blond Vanilla Latte to make it vegan, and it was super good. The texture of the chocolate cold foam wasn’t as impressive as a matcha cold foam I got last time. It was really thin , but it blended and tasted so well together that I can’t complain. The vanilla flavor, which is one of my favorite flavors, is very prominent. The coffee flavor is very subtle. There’s only a very few coffees I’ve had that are strong and that I like, and Starbucks is not one of them, so this Blond coffee just might be for me. I’ll have to experiment with other flavors next time (if I’m not too tempted to get this again).
I got this as a Tall and they filled my mug, which I think is bigger than a tall, but next time, I’ll have to bring my Grande cup for this. I liked how my ceramic mug kept this chilled throughout my drive on a very warm day with no A/c on though, which my plastic Grande cup probably won’t do . This is a perfect drink as we approach fall here in Hawaii because it’s still very warm, yet this gives a smooth and creamy texture and cozy feeling of vanilla, while still cold to help beat the heat.
