Described as ‘Delicious porcini polenta patty topped with sautéed fresh spinach and accompanied by grilled mushrooms, semi-dried tomatoes, and spring onions with a hint of thyme, creating a comforting and satisfying appetizer’
The first thing I noticed was there were no spring onions. I’m not sure whether they forgot to add them or what, but the dish didn’t suffer without them. The little bit of spinach there was heavily sautéed in good quality olive oil, and so were the tomatoes. The seared King oyster mushroom slices were a little bit tough, and everything was sprinkled with cracked black pepper.
The polenta patty was beautiful though- crispy on the outside and soft and creamy inside, with the porcini not beating you over the head but coming up behind you for a warm, comforting back hug. Overall, very light and simple.
