I chose to get this with optional whipped cream for an extra $2 because YOLO
Ordering this though was a bit of an ordeal with the server I had. I originally wanted the thick Italian hot chocolate, but the chef had gone home already and no one else apparently knew how to make it, so the staff offered a lower-grade hot chocolate mix instead. I declined and ordered the iced chocolate with whipped cream and hazelnut ice cream instead. Out comes a HOT chocolate with a scoop of ice cream melting in it and no whipped cream. I apologise and restate that what I ordered was the ICED chocolate with whipped cream. Server only listened to the last part of the sentence and whisks it back to pipe on whipped cream. At this stage I should have just shut my mouth and accepted it but I didn’t 😖 I apologise AGAIN and explain again it was the ICED chocolate I was after. The third time it came out was after the manager themselves had to get involved to make it apparently, and it was worse than the previous incorrect order. It was very weird. I don’t know whether they only remembered the ice cream after they piped the whipped cream on or what but the ice cream scoop was put on top of everything and it completely destroyed the beautiful whipped cream by forcing it all under the liquid to dissolve almost instantly ☹️ This was stressful and disappointing and not how you layer an iced drink at all. If you’re not autistic like me and can handle this kind of change in protocol, by all means order it 🙃
