#oddburger #vegan #veganisnotscary #friessupreme On the anniversaries of my dogs’ passings and their birthdays, I celebrate them by going out and getting a burger. This tradition started in the 1990s (in my pre-vegan days) when I used to buy my first dog a burger for his birthday. This year, I decided to have a gyro instead with a side order of Fries Supreme. At Odd Burger - a vegan / plant-based fast food chain - they have fantastic Fries Supreme. Perhaps not the healthiest thing on the menu, but every once in a while, it won’t hurt. On the company’s website, they describe it as “These loaded fries definitely reign supreme! Our crispy thick-cut fries are smothered in house-made creamy dairy-free cheeze sauce, topped with taco 'meat', dairy-free sour cream, diced tomatoes and green onions. These fries are the ultimate indulgence!” The last photo gives you a list of ingredients that go into the cheeze sauce, taco ‘meat’ and sour cream. In addition, there were diced tomatoes and green onions. It was my first time ordering this and it was absolutely delicious. Certainly a step up from regular fries, but not something I’d order often, strictly from a health / nutritional perspective. If it was healthy, I eat it very often. My combo of a Gyro (reviewed just before this one) with these Fries Supreme and a pop cost about $20.
