It's so cool how The Herbivorous Butcher has such a wide variety of vegan meats. They're all flavored differently as well, so you can really hone in what you need for specific recipes. @jonok has been wanting a Cuban sandwich, so when he saw this Cuban pork he had to buy it! It's also nice that these meats stay fresh for quite a while if you keep them sealed. Once you open the package try to use it quickly though.
Cutting these into strips then frying them on the cast iron wirh Tofurky slices was such a great idea! The Daiya oat milk swiss melted so wonderfully on the sandwich as well. I really love the seasoning in this Cuban pork. I don't have much to compare it to in pre-vegan days, but I enjoyed it nonetheless. This would also be great just on a cold sandwich or on a charcuterie board!
