I've never been so excited about a salad at a restaurant until having them here

in Dagon. My first favorite was the Crispy Tofu, but this Tea Leaf is a hit too. Besides tea leaves, its also got fried garlic, peanuts, yellow split peas, sesame seeds, sunflower seeds, cabbage, jalapeños (but not too spicy), and clover sprouts. I loved the crunchiness that the peanuts added. On my future visits, either this Tea Leaf or Crispy Tofu will be my go-to along with whatever new dish I want to try.

Be sure to ask for the vegan version of this. It normally has shrimp and fish sauce in it. Even if you're not vegan, I think you'll love it and not miss a thing without the seafood. My friend, who is also vegan, ordered this for us because she said it's one of her favorites. However, she never asked for it to be vegan before because she assumed it already was. That evening, it was just how she remembered it. She admits that maybe she'd be able to tell the difference if she ate them side by side, but the shrimp and fish sauce obviously didn't leave a lasting impression with her to make her feel that anything was lacking.

I forgot to take a picture of the full bowl of salad, which is a pretty good size. It was suitable for the 3 of us. This picture here is just my portion (and enough left in the main bowl for seconds for each of us). The one in the main bowl was much more presentable.

I’ve only been to Dagon once and let me tell you the tea leaf salad

was pretty good... I wasn’t expecting it to be as good as it was because I was like huh... tea leaf?! But man did it exceed my expectations The garlic noodles with tofu was also really good. I would definitely go back!
