Roasted Chicken Fragrant with Rice

The rice wasn’t as fragrant as I would’ve liked but it was still really delicious

overall! The dish came with a side of soup with peanuts, lotus roots and lion’s mane mushroom. The broth tasted like braised peanuts and I really enjoyed it! The dish itself was also really delicious and I loved the texture of the mock meat. It was fantastic together with the free flow chilli that is available. I must say their chilli bar is extensive and amazing! I would definitely get this again!

First time having roasted “chicken” with fragrant rice. The rice is nice and well-cooked for

me, as I prefer soft rice (not too hard)

The roasted “chicken” to me is more like roasted “fatty pork” , especially the texture, which is something that I like. Little crispiness, and also there’s tender layer. Goes very well with the rice!

This is so delicious! Their regular chicken rice has butter, so I swapped it for

brown rice. The gravy is really nice and went well with the rice. The roasted mock chicken is so flavourful with the skin and mock meat. Would prefer to have more veggies though, and the soup was too salty. I am used to less salt and sugar these days.

in it which i really enjoyed-what a nice twist to the usual chicken rice flavour!! the chicken was beancurd skin i think, was cooked well (it wasnt deep fried) and soaked up the gravy pretty nicely; the gravy was like soya sauce but had a bit of a sweet flavour too? im not too sure how exactly to describe it HAHA but i q liked it:"") only thing abt this is it wld hv been good to hv more veg!

The rice is so fragrant. I love its kick of ginger and the meal especially

the "meat" really taste like chicken rice dish.

Decent if you’re expecting taukee (beancurd skin) rice; less so if you were looking forward

to something close to the real deal! Rice is fragrant and gingery although a bit dry. “Chicken” is really just taukee in a starchy soya sauce. I love taukee so I didn’t mind too much :) At $4.50 for a set it’s not a bad deal!

Overall quite a decent no-frills plate of chicken rice. The rice itself was well-seasoned, but

the chicken I found to be a bit lacking in texture.
