I don't know how to describe the taste of this but its good. Nutty, soury, full bodied but also light.

Braised veggie chicken served with mushrooms and potatoes. The sauce had a lovey hint of

spices which was delicious.


Think this is the first time I've seen plant-based ayam pongteh? Savoury with lots of

fermented beans but also a bit salty as expected so make sure to have it with rice! #veganisnotscary


Braised dish with a good balance of earthy, salty, and sweet flavours thanks to the

use of taucheo fermented soybean paste and gula melaka palm sugar in the gravy! Tasty even without aromatics. Pretty hearty with potato chunks, dried shiitake mushrooms, and tender soy 'chicken'. 🥔🍄🍗 Personally would have preferred monkeyhead mushrooms as a whole food ingredient for the 'chicken', but this was good nonetheless!
