A little surprised to see this claypot dish delivered in a metal bowl instead of an actual clay pot. (Is this the norm now? I haven’t ordered a proper claypot in ages!) The dish itself fell a bit short of expectations. The rice was overly saturated with the gravy and lacked the signature charred, smoky bits which one would expect from a well-made claypot dish.. The gravy itself was Okay —not bad, but nothing particularly memorable. I found myself wishing for a bit more umami depth. Also, the ratio of rice to ingredients felt off, with too much rice and not enough toppings to balance it out. Price was reasonable overall. SGD 8 (before taxes)
Piping hot 🔥 Served fast and looks exactly like what it shows on the menu 👍 Need to add on a protein dish or drink to balance the meal though
You might see #claypot and #wokhei and char but unfortunately this meal was a total #catfish 🙃 So much potential but it did not deliver at all! I would’ve #wastedanrtk had this not been my second time experiencing their unfortunately tasteless meals 🫤 No salt, really? It’s not a health thing either because the rice was seemingly drowning in oil à la confit 🦆 Even then was that bland 🙆♀️ The portion was decent for $S7.34, but frankly I’d not have eaten here had my area usual been open 🤷♀️
This is delicious. They literally cooked the rice and everything in this pot, rather that transfer to a Claypot. Thus , you get some burnt rice at the bottom. This is how all Claypot rice suppose to be made.
