WOW!
Look at this vegan pasteis de nata! These are traditionally made with egg and

dairy so I was floored to see a vegan version. The filling was super smooth and sweet, like the inside of a very fancy custard doughnut. A #musttry for sure! #abillionturns3 #pastry

Would give 6 starts if I could. Such a tasty pastry, better than the

traditional ones I had in Portugal years ago 😁
One costs £2.50, a little more expensive than the other dairy options

Inspired by @appleappleamanda's post yesterday, I just had to go to the new Camden branch

of Café de Nata to get one of these! (I couldn't be bothered to add the new location on here, soz).

I went to Lisbon a couple of years ago and went to the most famous place for these desserts, a bakery called Pastéis de Belém and the queue to buy one of these was SO long! I so wanted one but they aren't vegan, and I'm so surprised now that we have the option!! 😍 I do enjoy custard but having it in a pastry or doughnut has always been strange to me... This was delicious, however I'm not sure I'd get it again as it was veeery rich and maybe just a bit too much for me. Definitely recommend trying though, especially if you love custard! #pasteisdenata #custardtart #abillionturns3

This perfectly satisfied my sweet tooth!! The custard was incredibly creamy, and the raspberries on

top provided a bit of sourness that paired so well with the sweet custard. The flaky crust gave a great crunchy texture. Highly recommend!

SO GOOD WHAT EVEN my first time having a pastel de nata aka portugese egg

tart and it’s a vegan one! so smooth and creamy custard without being too sickening. I absolutely loved the buttery and flakey crust. though I think I should have asked them to heat it up! also sprinkled on some cinnamon for some extra oomph. love this soooo much! sad that the vegan one is more expensive and they don’t have other flavours:(

Me and my sugar free diet couldn't have it, but my friend enjoyed it immensely

😁 he's Portuguese, and he didn't know that they make vegan version of his childhood's favourite desert 😁 it was 6£ for a box of 3, so definitely quite a bargain. The only thing he said it was missing was cinnamon 😉

The Portuguese custard tarts made vegan. Tastes just like the original ones. Creamy, delicious and

warm. Have them plain or try with a sprinkle of cinnamon or sugar.

I finally was able to get to one of these shops to try a Veganata

and was thrilled to see a huge sign in their window for them. These are made with soy milk but I couldn’t tell. The custard is creamy and smooth and the pastry is light and flaky. This hit the spot after craving it for so long.

Vegan Pastel de nata. Heaven on earth. You can also find cinnamon to add at

your own pleasure.
One of the best we've ever tried.
