Vegan KFC!!!!! Omg, eating this really brought back memories. 12 years ago I went vegetarian,
and one of my favourite foods I gave up was KFC. I remember the last time I ate it, looking at the bone of the chicken drumstick and feeling so guilty. Not long after I gave up meat for good. How amazing it would've been if I had the chance to eat this back then, and know that I would not have to miss out on my favourite foods!!! This is #veganheaven 😇😇😇 and it's all whole foods even though it's #sgveganjunkfood ! It is 3 pieces of battered king oyster mushroom. I swear, that batter is just heavenly and brought back those memories. The mushroom itself wasn't very flavourful perhaps cos it was overpowered by the batter as I know this kinda mushrooms can be very tasty. Such a sinful meal with fries on the side! And happy they gave some salad veggies. Still, it was very heavy and unhealthy cos of all the fried stuff, it's cool that vegan food can be this unhealthy. I would actually like if there were more things that could balance out the fried stuff such as having more greens and including steamed broccoli and carrot, and having baked beans. I ordered the mushroom soup of the day partly also to offset the oiliness and it did come in handy. Oh, the VFC tastes very nice dunked in the soup as well which is very creamy and has a sweet taste! I added ketchup from the counter and went through a lot of it. I would like if they could give some truffle mayo like they do for the fish and chips. That would go perfectly with VFC! I did feel a bit ill that night I was wondering if the unhealthy food had given me a food coma alongside being tired out and overstimulated that day. $9 for this and I find it good value for money considering the quality, many places charge more expensive and may not be as good. #musttry
