My friend and I split this in recognition of #NationalHamburgerDay. We added vegan Swiss cheese. We both really enjoyed this. It inspires me to add beets to my own homemade veggie burgers next time. Of course, it doesn’t taste anything like real meat hamburgers, but garden burgers is all I had about 35 years ago when I became vegetarian. It was a good alternative (and still is), and it’s an earthy taste that I often crave rather than the real meat taste. This is a really hearty size. I got it with a side of onion rings. Both my friend and I just ate a quarter of it, so we split the other half to take home for leftovers for another meal. I love the added sprouts.
