Bahn mi

There's not much better than a giant, fresh banh mi. Old Abe is definitely my favorite Rochester restaurant and it's wild that I haven't tried their best seller! I got my banh mi with tofu, but you can also get it with mock duck. This was everything I look for in a bahn mi. The veggies are so fresh, there's a ton of cilantro, and it's huge! Whenever I visit my home town, a stop at Old Abe is a must. This sandwich is delicious and filling!

This bahm mi featured the Herbivorous Butcher's bacon and included another slice of mock meat as well. The other slice on there wasn't my favorite as it had a sweet taste I wasn't too fond of. Overall it was a tasty sandwich and definitely loaded up with veggies. I did kinda wish that it just had the HB bacon and maybe a slice of 2 more of it. Overall I was pleasantly surprised to find this little coffee shop in Rochester serving almost all vegan options.
