The whole experience of eating at Where The Pancakes Are was a pleasant surprise. Battersea Power Station in London has undergone a spectacular makeover from industrial power plant, generating electricity for the whole of London to a complex providing homes, shopping, indoor and outdoor recreational space. We fancied an afternoon exploring this new inner city development and also wanted to see what was on offer in the way of vegan food. Pancakes took our fancy and I chose the vegan option in the Dutch Baby (weird title!) section. They are described as an American interpretation of a German oven-baked #pancake The ‘Australian’ consists of a corn fritter covered in a mound of smashed #avocado vegan crème fraiche, #rocket salad some tangy slices of preserved lemon and olive oil. It looked really appetising and tasted good too. The #fritters were a hearty base and the lightness of the greens made an ideal match. Quite a pricey dish at £13.50 but it meant I wasn’t hungry again for the rest of the day. There are several restaurants in the complex that advertise vegan food. #veganfortheanimals #explorecuisine #corn #abillionlove
