Only found out about this vegan dish through abillionveg, so surprised that this doesn’t have

more reviews yet! This was definitely a Unami flavour bomb. For $13.80++ it is actually a really good price point compared to other places that charge more than meat for their meatless products. The meat texture felt very ‘real’ to me, and well marinated with their sauce. Definitely hope to see more of this in other Japanese restaurants!

Omg. I cant get over how this dish tasted, the AburiEn sauce and grilled taste

really did it for me. Its been so long since I had a good grilled Yakuniku meat alternative. If this is a temporary menu, Im definitely going back a few times more 🤤🤤

A bit on the salty side (and a little one dimensional in taste) but good

texture nonetheless. 2nd time eating this, good option when eating with non-vegans lolol #veganisnotscary

Main appeal here would be the umami sauce glazed on the “boneless short rib”. Latter

tasted like typical soy meat to me altho my non-vegan partner felt it was similar to chicken & rly enjoyed it. The leek topping was a welcomed addition which helped cut through some of the saltiness & grease. The mushrooms however was under-seasoned. Its nice to see a meat-heavy eatery offer such an option albeit temporary.

So dang good. Delicious and umami marinade, lovely soft rice and mushrooms. This boneless short

rib faux meat had a more porky mouthfeel. I look forward to cooking with it 👀 It’s been a really long time since I had yakiniku. Altogether this donburi was good value for money. Currently they have a promotion with Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba for the Mugen Train movie. Cute double sided keychain with Nezuko!

I've never had beef short ribs (and I don't eat beef in general), so honestly,

I have no idea if this dish was a good #vegan replica of the meat version. They were really generous with the karubi, and I think it is kind of cool that it's made from #soybean proteins. I liked that the dish came with #shimeji mushrooms and some grated raw #vegetables for some textural and flavour contrasts. This dish wasn't bad, but it honestly felt like something was missing, like it wasn't comforting, and I felt like they gave a little too much premium #rice so the ratios were a bit off. I was glad to be able to try this once for the novelty, but I probably wouldn't get it again, mainly because of the price tag.
