Dim Sum breakfast at Hau Food Station in Johor Bahru. It was a non-Veg restaurant
that switched to serving all vegetarian food a couple of years ago, so the flavours are somewhat close to non-veg.
However, they did use a lot of mock meat stuff.
Sha Ge is the Chinese name for the common Asiatic Yam 🍠 , aka jicama. It’s the ingredient that gave these dumplings a nice crunch. It’s not bad but I think the skin’s a bit too thick.
