We are a Canadian non-profit organization providing free legal services to help animals, the environments in which they live, and the people who fight for them.

Through bold advocacy, public legal education, and 
law reform initiatives, we work to ensure that animals and nature are protected and recognized as essential to a just, thriving, and sustainable future.

Recent initiatives:
-  offering up to two hours of free summary advice to those facing animal or environmental law issues via our Inquiry Service
- sponsoring and organizing the Animal Rights March in Canada’s capital 
- successfully ensuring an aquarium franchise has pledged to never hold sharks in captivity again, and working to relocate their existing sharks to more appropriate environments 
- publishing various free reports and toolkits to aid activists
