I’ve switched to using #bamboo #toothbrushes to reduce the plastic waste. The bristles are still made of plastic (nylon). I try to keep it functional by drying after each use thoroughly. I change it a few times a year. I find the handle quite ergonomic since it’s round instead of rectangular. The head is small but good enough for brushing properly.

For $7 I found 12 of them. While that’s a decent price, I think that more vegan companies have to pose a challenge by providing cheap alternatives to plastic. There are billions of people buying plastic, especially with the wage disparity that is rampant because of this idiotic and parasitic system that has been unchallenged, capitalism. That is way more plastic on a daily basis vs not. Equations are NOT more important than progress, and we have to demand government subsidization for vegan companies. I don’t mean this only towards plastics, I mean this also for vegan food as well.
There are no commercials or ads either for people to go into a store (a common one) and look for said products. I say this with intent to improve, vegan companies are kinda dumb and stubborn. They also have to be harassed to do better. Otherwise what’s the point, if the impact is always going to be outweighed by cheap plastic and dead bodies? Just ends up being a pacifier for people like us, while destruction continue at the same pace and increasing level…
