I visited Barrie, Ontario for the first time in over a year and decided to drop in at The Vegan Pantry. I was glad to see the store still open. Everything in the store and its restaurant is 100% vegan! 

I bought a few freshly baked goods and the second I’m reviewing is the Cinnamon Bun Scone. I’ve had scones before and always thought scones were boring. This scone was anything but boring! Now I don’t feel so bad for paying $6.95. I didn’t ask the price beforehand and I’m glad I didn’t. This store is pricey simply because its costs are high. I don’t think they’re gouging its customers. 

This Cinnamon Bun Scone was absolutely delicious and not too sweet. The price of $6.95 is probably a little high, but worth it. I understand it’s a small business with small volume, so I’m more compelled to pay it to support this business. The people / staff are always nice and 100% vegan businesses must survive. 

The scone’s inside was wonderfully soft and the cinnamon flavoured icing was perfect!

There’s no way of detecting this scone as being vegan. It was so good!! 

I would definitely get this again. It has altered my opinion of scones.
