My amazing mother in law got me this deeeeelicious #butternutsquash #lasagna when I went to visit her. It was so flavourful, but the texture was not great. It was also gluten free, so it was very mushy. I am unsure of the price, as it was bought for me.

I was glad to see the store still open. Everything in the store and its restaurant is 100% vegan! I bought a few freshly baked goods and the third I’m reviewing is the Jumbo Pecan Butter Tart. I didn’t think the butter tart was so “jumbo”, but for its price ($7.95), I think it should’ve been bigger. I didn’t ask the price beforehand; maybe I should have. This store is pricey simply because its costs are high. I don’t think they’re gouging its customers. This butter tart was absolutely delicious, buttery and extremely sweet, but I don’t think it was worth $7.95 (plus tax). But I understand it’s a small business with small volume, so I’m more compelled to pay it to support this business. The people / staff are always nice and 100% vegan businesses must survive. I don’t recall seeing too many pecans in it. There’s no way of detecting this butter tart as being vegan. It was so good!! I would definitely get this again because if its taste, but would be a little reluctant to pay $7.95.

I’ve had scones before and always thought scones were boring. This scone was anything but boring! Now I don’t feel so bad for paying $6.95. I didn’t ask the price beforehand and I’m glad I didn’t. This store is pricey simply because its costs are high. I don’t think they’re gouging its customers. This Cinnamon Bun Scone was absolutely delicious and not too sweet. The price of $6.95 is probably a little high, but worth it. I understand it’s a small business with small volume, so I’m more compelled to pay it to support this business. The people / staff are always nice and 100% vegan businesses must survive. The scone’s inside was wonderfully soft and the cinnamon flavoured icing was perfect! There’s no way of detecting this scone as being vegan. It was so good!! I would definitely get this again. It has altered my opinion of scones.

These were so bad that we threw them out!!!! I tried to serve these #vegan #cheddarcheese sticks at New Years. It was just absolutely disgusting. It was around $10 or $15. #regret. It just was so so bad.

This is this item's #firstproductreview My mother in law got me a $50 gift certificate to the Vegan Pantry 4 years ago! I FINALLY used it this last summer and I was able to get 3 things....gosh that place was expensive! It is worth it though, as they make everything in-house and it is very creative. I got this #vegan #chickun parm and I finally made it tonight. 2 of these come in a package, but I just baked one of them. I ended up only eating half. It was sooo filling! I ate the half in an olive bun and a side of ceasar salad (homemade dressing...yum lol). I am full! I will eat the other half for the exact same meal for tomorrow night. Yummm. I believe it was around $16 or $18, but it will last me 4 meals and it is nice having meals ready to go that are healthy.

This is this item's #firstproductreview. I also have never seen a #pizza #scone before so I thought it was very #unique. It was around $6.95. It was good. I liked it. It was a bit weird in the middle. I wasn't sure if it was undercooked or it was a vegan cheeze of some sort? Oh well. I'm glad I tried it! :)

Gosh I wanted to come to this place for the longest time and when I finally get here I found out that most of the things they offer are frozen :( - they might go bad on my way back to Toronto. Also… this Nanaimo bar was not the best - it WASN’T bad… I just had better ones… this was was extremely sweet.

On the way out, I picked up a few treats inspired by a little note I read in the menu: buy 6 treats/desserts and pay no tax. So of course, I had to buy 6 treats. The power of advertising!! So I bought a Snickers Bunny. I suppose it’s a seasonal item with spring and Easter around the corner. I don’t think my photos truly show how deliciously enticing this chocolate delight actually was. Just like a Snickers chocolate bar, this little bunny had peanuts, caramel and nougat encased in a thick chocolate coating. They were too cute in the display cabinet not to get one. Needless to say, it was absolutely delicious!! Without hesitation (if I disregard the price), I’d get another. The non-food photos in this review were taken in their dining room. I certainly don’t mind supporting a 100% vegan establishment, but their prices are getting steep. The 6 treats I got (2 Banana Chocolate Chunk Muffins, 2 decadent brownies, 1 Hello Dolly and this Snickers Bunny) were $32.70, Thankfully no tax was payable. I’ll return to support this small business, but may not be so easily persuaded next time. But I have to admit their food is very delicious!!

Their dense texture makes them quite filling, and one tide me over until dinner. The banana flavour was subtle, and the muffins were topped with sugar for extra goodness.
