My partner and I thought we’d spend a morning at Old Petrie Town for the Sunday markets recently. I hadn’t been since I was a kid. It’s a heritage style town with old buildings, museums and a few market stalls and shops scattered around. The food stalls at the markets were minimal and we didn’t manage to find a single vegan option, but fortunately this old pub there surprisingly had a couple of options.

The burger was $24 inc. chips, it was pretty substantial and very tasty. Had a hefty lentil patty, vegan cheese, lettuce, beetroot, tomato, vegan aioli and relish. Pretty good for a suburban pub in the outer north.
