I was so excited to try this #blondie when I read the description 🤩 but alas… it was all just a dream 🥲 Then again, I have been spoiled by my sister’s baking for the longest time 😗
I’d like to start on the positive 🍨 which is the #vanillaicecream 😝 It’s probably store bought but I was still happy with it ☺️ The #gulamelaka #caramel was solid and surprisingly not too sweet 🤓 Overall, the consistency was good and the restaurant was not stingy on the drizzle 👌 Finally, our star of this #dessert came up a little short 😕 Flavour-wise, all seemed well. There were just enough #apple chunks and an unexpected littering of walnuts but I could’ve been satisfied with a bigger dose of #cinnamon 🫥 The thing that was hard for me to overlook was the texture and hint of oil flavour. Just think of a more dense cakey sponge but not in a good way 🥲
$9 would’ve been of great value if the quality came through a little more 🙃
How many times will I find myself bated by the attractive descriptions of Privé? 😭

I can totally understand your point of view. I really enjoy the ambience more than the food. The green curry wasn’t as good as Bangkok Jam. The chicken rice wasn’t as good as the humble one in Ang Mo Kio hawker center at $7.90 vs $23 at Prive. But Prive really ace the BEST Nasi Lemak Burger, which is one of the monthly special & no longer available on the menu.
