A 2022 dish (before 🟢[B1 🤫] planted itself into existence) and even then, it was already a $19. Prolly a $25 or thereabouts now after building in inflation; it costs to breathe on planet 🌏 these days 🙃 Rather insipid in spite of the extra spicy customization, also #alliumfree (1 of those few do-able items) with the standard #buttonmushroom, #broccoli and #cherrytomatoes. Standout 👉 chewy #penne for a good jaw workout

Veganuary 2024 special, but apparently extended till February 2024! 💚 The burger came stacked with caramelised shiitake and oyster mushrooms in teriyaki sauce, pickled red onions, purple cabbage slaw, and vegan mayonnaise~ 🍔 To me, the star of the show was actually the battered portobello mushroom fries which were THICC, crunchy, juicy, and surprisingly not greasy! 🍄🍟 Served with a simple salad consisting solely of wild rocket leaves 🥬 Personally would have liked the addition of a few cherry tomatoes or a sprinkle of mixed seeds or something, but regardless I appreciated the greens! 🥗 (Contains alliums, $19) #sgvegan #veganoptions #burger #veganburger #wholefoodplantbased #wfpb

One of the vegan dishes newly added to the refreshed regular menu in 2024! 🍱 Featuring eggplant 'unagi', though I personally found it a bit of a letdown, as it was too firm and the skin was slightly tough to chew. Perhaps it could have been cooked to a softer, fork-tender texture to better resemble 'unagi'! 🍆 (And perhaps the portion of eggplant could have been bigger; I got half an eggplant while the menu picture seemed much more generous nuuuuuuu 😭) The bed of brown rice was slathered in miso paste that was a tad too salty for my liking. Served with creamy guacamole, fresh broccoli florets, as well as sprinkled with sesame seeds, nori seaweed, and green onions. 🥑🥦 Overall a healthy grain bowl albeit not particularly outstanding in my opinion. Layers of eggless strawberry sponge cake and jelly-covered strawberry slices, smothered in fluffy vegan whipped cream. 🍰🍓 Appreciated that it wasn't too cloyingly rich or sweet! I was so excited to try this #blondie when I read the description 🤩 but alas… it was all just a dream 🥲 Then again, I have been spoiled by my sister’s baking for the longest time 😗 I’d like to start on the positive 🍨 which is the #vanillaicecream 😝 It’s probably store bought but I was still happy with it ☺️ The #gulamelaka #caramel was solid and surprisingly not too sweet 🤓 Overall, the consistency was good and the restaurant was not stingy on the drizzle 👌 Finally, our star of this #dessert came up a little short 😕 Flavour-wise, all seemed well. There were just enough #apple chunks and an unexpected littering of walnuts but I could’ve been satisfied with a bigger dose of #cinnamon 🫥 The thing that was hard for me to overlook was the texture and hint of oil flavour. Just think of a more dense cakey sponge but not in a good way 🥲 $9 would’ve been of great value if the quality came through a little more 🙃 How many times will I find myself bated by the attractive descriptions of Privé? 😭

You’ll actually find this under the name “Sliders” with a choice between your typical dead cow and this #impossiblemeat option ⚖️ so at the very least, I’ll be grateful for a chain as large as Privé to have #veganoptions 🙃 I had high expectations with all the hype of Impossible Foods but these #sliders came out oddly sour 🤨 The #buns were buns. The #patty was a #burgerpatty 😗 Other than that it was just #caramelisedonion 🧅 So, where was this sourness originating from? To this day, I still don’t know 😵‍💫 It tasted as though it was coming from the #burgerpatty but whyyyyy?? It retained the savouriness I had hoped for but not enough to overlook this oddity 🫨 $16.50 is certainly too much for 3 little #vegansliders 😤 that’s over $5 a piece!! I was told that Privé was once a respectable chain for some #veganfood but no more… 🥲 and it shows 🫣

A very cool #buddhabowl 🙂 Pick the option with the #maple #miso #tofu rather than the salmon obvs 🥲 The #sesamedressing and the #nori really make this a solid piece of work rather than something borderline #toohealthy 😏 A generously portioned serving too!

Probably my pick of the three things that we ordered 🙂 The #greencurry was thick and flavourful and #spicy and creamy and comforting and every reason to trek all the way to the top floor of Jewel the next time I'm in Singapore ☺️ And look at the eclectic mix of ingredients - #broccoli #carrot #cabbage #zucchini #potato #beancurd #okra #frenchbean and a side of #brownrice. Heavenly! 😋

I was curious what they would do with the #chestnut 😅 In the end it turned out that they simply mixed them in with the #impossible #fakemeat and then pan-fried the #gyoza to a light crisp on the outside 😋 Not gonna lie, I was hoping for just a little bit more distinctiveness in this 😐 Though I'm still gonna keep coming to Privé in Jewel on the way back out of Singapore 🙂
