I can’t believe this #ramen caused a rift in my marriage 😵 It isn’t true but can you imagine how rude that would be if it was?

It did though make me re-examine what #jjajangmyeon actually is supposed to be because @m1tch9i insisted it should be based on a darker sweet #soyabean based sauce — aka tianmian 甜面酱 / chunjang 춘장 🫘 I only know there is a Chinese rendition as there is a Korean rendition, a Japanese one too, and a terribly botched one I once had the mistake of ordering at a train stop in Rome 🏛️

This appears to be a sweeter kind than I’ve had before & lord does it every make a good #gravy 😋 Better yet they portioned it to adequately that not a serving of noodle went unflavoured. Speaking of, their #noodles are unrivalled! 🍜 It was just so adequately thick and held well on to the bits of #mushroom and the like in the sauce.

Is this my favourite meal this trip? 😱
