Review of Vegetarian Breakfast at Elys Restaurant London by nickyv

Because the menu says vegetarian I checked with the restaurant first about vegan. They said it comes with poached eggs but would remove them. So I ordered it. The eggs arrived so I sent it back. It came back without the eggs nor with the extra mushrooms I had been offered. It was a disaster. The only part that tasted good were the baked beans. The spinach was over cooked and watery. The potato fritters were thin, hard and tasteless, the falafel balls were rock hard and when I cut them open there was something in them which looked suspiciously like feta. I don't know that it was. The one mushroom was OK, bread came with two sachets of non vegan butter. #greytonfarmanimalsanctuary
