#vegan #veganisnotscary #auntyemsdeli #ditchdairy #ditchdairy #thegrilledcheesechallenge I found out about the Grilled Cheese Challenge on Facebook earlier this week and decided to attend to support Aunty Em’s Deli who had a booth set up. Unfortunately, I’ve never been to the restaurant although I’ve been meaning to do that. But I thought I would support them today at this outdoor festival / challenge. Of the two grilled cheese sandwiches that they were offering, I ordered the Kind of a Big Dill Pickle Sandwich for $12. It was absolutely awesome! The fourth photo describes the sandwich. The cheeses were smooth, melted and gooey and the bread was beautifully toasted on a grill. The pickle slices always give a very special twist to a sandwich. I rarely make a grilled cheese sandwich for myself, but I think I’m going to have to start. Aunty Em’s was the only plant-based / vegan vendor at the Grilled Cheese Challenge which is great for them (they cornered the market for vegans and those who are vegan curious), but it would’ve been nice had there been another plant-based company. Perhaps next year. I’ll have to make my way to Aunty Em’s Deli.
