I found the name intriguing, never heard of such thing. Found out subsequently that it's not an eggplant but a fruit called Tamarillo which is like a combination of passion fruit and tomato. This juice tasted GREAT. With a good tang and not too sweet. Rather pulpy too.

They have three #curry dishes on their extensive menu; we opt for the mock-meat-free option, which features #taupok (tofu puffs). The airy tofu puffs act as a sponge, soaking up all the #spicy curry #gravy and burst in my mouth when eaten. It also has #okra (or lady’s finger), #longbeans and #cabbage. Always eat this sort of curry with plain white rice! 🍚

We loved the Nasi Goreng (fried rice) version of this, so this time we thought, why not try the noodles? We opt for #kwayteow (#kwetiao) and yellow noodles (mie kuning) for this dish :) It’s delicious and got the whole #wokhei (‘breath of the wok’) going on. Excellent on its own but better when eaten with the many side dishes they have. #miegoreng #goreng #friednoodles #xosauce #indonesianfood

It’s our last day in #Batam City, and we’re still craving more traditional #Indonesian cuisine, so we’re back here at Nature #Vegetarian. This #tempeh dish is #spicy, #intense and has a tinge of #sour flavour from the chopped up ginger flower (aka rojak flower). A must-try whenever I’m visiting #Indonesia~ Fresh #avocado juice with #chocolate syrup drizzle. Pretty earthy and mildly astringent which I suspect it’s because they used #avocados that aren’t fully ripe. Not bad though.

Somewhat #refreshing, it’s made with fresh stalks of #lemongrass, #calamansi, #rocksugar and an unknown teabag 🤔 Allow it to steep a little longer so maximum #tea #fragrance and flavour. Pairs well with greasy savoury foods

An all-time favourite from any #Chinese #vegetarian restaurant #Teochew style #tofu! Originally a dish made with fish, it’s replaced with #silkentofu and thin slices of mock #fish to give it a fishy taste. Shredded #ginger and #preserved vegetable provide it with a signature #spicy and #sour flavour. Goes so well with rice 🍚🥰

Love love love this dish! Can’t go wrong with #spicy #petai dish. The gravy is #fragrant, #intense and packed full of #spices, coating pieces of #battered green round #eggplant. Excellent on its own, but better with piping hot white rice. Serving time is pretty quick, around 15 minutes, and all dishes come at once.

This is my favourite dish I ordered. If you like oatmeal as an ingredient then you’d really like this, can’t go wrong. Only that it can be quite salty. Got quite thirsty afterwards. But worth it tho. A welcome guilty pleasure once in a while:D Would be the safest to request all dishes to be vegan just in case, since this is a vegetarian restaurant.
