It got so hot and I was in a hurry before the ice all melt away🧊💦 (also, the location shown is their main address, not the food truck on Governors Island) And we all got shaved ice bc how hot it got🍧 #Mango for me cuz I didn’t have room to try the mango + sticky rice thing from another stand🥭 It’s basic and kinda artificial, as expected from the syrup bottles. But at least it wasn’t too sweet. And it successfully fulfilled its duty of cooling and showed some extra commitment by giving me a brain freeze🥶 We didn’t eat here so I can’t judge their main offerings. From what I saw, it’s a Jamaican fusion place and the vegan selection was available but understandably and sadly very limited. Bonus shoutout to Governors Island’s effort to make all serveware compostable though!! 🌱👏🏼 Yes, the plastic-looking cup in my hand too was certified😃 #shavedice #supportlocal #foodtruck
