Honestly terrible. It tasted only sugar, the dough was not good. The price was ridiculously high (4.3) for not even offering a place to sit. I have had vegan apple cinnamon rolls that were thousand times better (Artemisia, Ravenna.. you should go)

The fourth and final flavour we tried was the #speculaas #cinnamonroll! Another knock out! Lovely flavour for autumn, with the warm spices of cinnamon, nutmeg, and cloves and that buttery cookie flavour atop a moist and rich cinnamon roll! The cinnamon rolls were really nicely made, although could have been a little more fluffy if you know what I mean. Love the smaller size of them although they are a little pricey at 4.30€ a piece. Still I recommend trying these guys out if you’re in Antwerp! #sweettooth

Embracing autumn flavours with this #pumpkinspice #cinnamonroll. The base roll was really delicious, moist, slight sweet and doughy. The icing on top was intensely pumpkin spice flavoured, yum! You have to love that flavour to like this one. Again, I think it would have been cool to have the flavour weaved into the roll somehow, but I still found this one super delicious! The rolls were 4.30€ each, but if you buy 4 they came to 16€, a little pricey but I guess that is to be expected! #sweettooth

The #cookiedough #cinnamonroll was probably my least favourite, as it just tasted pretty basic other than the blob of cookie dough on top, which was pretty good. But I would have loved to get cookie dough in each bite, maybe if it had been somehow put into the roll itself. The icing was a little too sweet for me, it was like a classic buttercream type icing, which isn’t my favourite. But the cinnamon roll itself was divine! Sticky, sweet, moist, and cinnamony! #sweettooth

Time for some #vegancinnamonrolls! We tried 4 different types and loved each and every one, although we didn’t notice hugeee differences in the flavour profiles (as they all had the same base but just different toppings). The first one I tried was the #pecancaramel one, which ended up being my favourite! Something about the crunchy pecans and sweet sticky caramel drizzle on top was just soooo satisfying. The roll itself was really well made, moist and sticky and very cinnamony! They were on the smaller side which I didn’t mind as they were pretty sweet, so you don’t end up feeling ill after eating one lol. #sweettooth

#pistachio is not really my thing 🫤 But it CAN be good sometimed! However, this was not. 👎🏽 Actually, it had no flavor at all 😕. It was creamy and moist, but flavourless… This #cinnamonroll is also seasonal. #allvegan business! 😃 Comes on the last place for me (I bought 4).

My sister in law (Husbands sister) surprised me for my birthday with 4 #cinnamonrolls from Have A Roll 🤤🤤! How sweet! ☺️☺️ This one was my favorite! #applecinnamon belong together! 🤤 It was amazing! You rarely find cinnamon rolls that are so moist 🤤 If you are ever close to a store from Have A Roll, don’t hesitate: Go Inside! 😃😃 The other ones I still have to review 😉

This time, no more! I finally tried a third and last version of Have a Roll's vegan #cinnamonrolls. The one with crumbled speculoos aka biscoff cookie for non-belgians on top. I had it immediately after the cookie dough version, and honestly, could hardly tell the difference. As for my conclusion: all these rolls look nice and different, but they all taste basically the same: sticky wet refined dough with loads of refined sugar. Exactly like scandinavian pastry often tastes. The lavender coloured boxes have a high Barbie feel but are far too luxurious. Of course one had better feed the masses with vegan #rolls than with animal sourced ones. But from the nutritional point of view these rolls are a disaster. As opposed to the friendly staff in Ghent, the Antwerp staff acted disinterested and cold. Have a Roll has a small but efficient website where you can order online to either #takeout at the shop or have them delivered to you by bike courier. It's an example of a simple and recognizable lab tested marketing concept. Its image and branding would fit perfectly between the logos and brands in anyone of the ubiquitous stereotyped European shopping street where you find the same things whether you are in Amsterdam, Warsaw or Stockholm or any other major town. I can't help but feel it's vegan because of the growing trendiness of vegan. Either I overread but I did not see or feel any engagement about sustainability, environment or animals. It's just slick and nice like so many things in this smartphone driven world. I wonder how long it will last. #cinnamonrolls #vegansweets #vegantreats

So I happened to go to Antwerp today and why not try out a second #cinnamonroll at Have A Roll Antwerp? The little take out restaurant has some modest seating space outside. It's just next to the busy shopping district, unfortunately on the ground floor of a very ugly and a bit run down commercial building just behind the main police station. Maybe because the rent for a start up business in this area must be huge. I chose the cookie dough version. Frankly not so different taste from the #pecan nut version I had at their Ghent branch. Very, very, extremely sweet to my taste. Comes also at 3,90 €, is quite filling and sticky. The rolls are wrapped in luxury lavender coloured cardboard boxes. They match the overall branding but they're a bit of a waste in my opinion. I tried a third and last version too (separate review of the "speculoos" version). #sweettooth #cinnamon #cinnamonrolls #vegantreats

we got these cinnamon almond croissants for free which was super sick. i personally found the combo of cinnamon and almond a little overwhelming tho. still enjoyed it
