This restaurant’s #chefspecial of bhindi do pyaz was a #flavorful #vegan experience. 😋💚 Some main ingredients in the #plantbased #curry were #stirfry #okra, #onion 🧅, and #tomato 🍅, which are some versatile #vegetables and a great source of #vitaminc and #antioxidants. 🏥 I think okra gets a bit of a bad reputation or being slimy, but this okra was well-cooked and quite crisp at the edges, and the #spices added a wonderful flavor. Also, okra is apparently supposed to make you better at math, although this might just be a story that grandparents tell. 🧮🤭 Overall, I think that this was a nice vegan chef’s special and would definitely recommend, whether you are an #okralover or not. 😆 #veganfortheanimals ❤️ #veganfortheplanet 🌎 #tomatolover 🍅 #onionlover 🧅 #vegancurry #indianfood

Today we ordered out and paid a visit to one of the staple #vegan-friendly restaurants 🌱 in the area—Downtown Dhaba. 😄 This #chanamasala was so #flavorful, with the #tomatoes 🍅 and #basmati rice creating a fragrant aroma. The #chickpeas were soft, but not mushy, and overall I think the texture was really pleasant. It was a bit oily relative to the other vegan curries I’ve tried before, but it mixed well with the #rice and the acidity of the tomatoes. Wow! 🤩 What a pleasant mix of #tomatoes 🍅, #potatoes 🥔, and #peas. These humble ingredients come together along with #herbs and #spices to make a flavorful #vegan #curry. 🌱🍛 I would definitely rate this dish a 10/10 for the flavors and textures, as there’s always much to appreciate about #vegetables. 💚 The dish is also good for sharing with friends or family, or saving leftovers, as they are generous with the #basmati rice and gravy. This makes the price of $20.00 fairly economical, especially for how the quality matches.
