nonya371条评论Could hardly taste the banana 🤭 but on the positive side, it’s not dry, just the right level of moisture, and overall flavour nice and nutty.Vegan Banana Bread

kminz131256条评论Not sure what’s the ingredients for this but taste wise it has a more unique burnt/brown sugar taste so the banana takes a back seat here. The walnuts gave a nice crunch but perhaps because veganised, the lack of eggs made this on the drier side - do not the moist banana-rich bread/cake you’d expect, but if you eat it as it is it tastes not bad! Just not sure if it’s something to hit your banana bread cravings 😅Vegan Banana Bread
A607条评论Bought this together with their pumpernickel bread for the free delivery with Mun spend of $15! (Review of the pumpernickel bread is in one of the earlier post). As what their name suggest, this is really a perfectly humble and simple sourdough loaf for me (perhaps a little too humble). I think their creation is meant for the bread to be eaten as a complement to something more flavorful like stews, curries which is kind of perfect for me as I like them. Wouldn’t suggest this to go with avocado toast but of course personal preference. Had not tried to use it for sandwiches so do let me know if you have any comments on that! Stay safe all!Humble
A607条评论Saw that Baker’s Bench offer free delivery for $15 on weekends previously during this #circuitbreaker/ #lockdown period in SG and my love of bread got me ordering two loaves! This (pumpernickel) and their sourdough (confirmed with them that both are vegan). It’s not really easy to get pumpernickel here as it is an acquired taste and most locals prefer soft breads (I am the weird one here). Their pumpernickel bread cost $9 and it is quite worth for money as it is dense and heavy despite the small size. Exterior was hard but moist and soft on the inside 😋 and had a strong rye flavour! Tasted very good when toasted - tried it with scrambled ‘eggs’, avocados, marmite and vegan ‘butter’ and homemade stew etc or even on its own!Pumpernickel
